# Aside — The most intelligent AI assistant, but it’s a browser

Aside is a browser rebuilt for people and agents. It works across your logged-in websites and handles complex work: messages, payments, internal tools, and everything in between. Backed by Y Combinator.

## Supported platforms and system requirements

Aside is available for macOS and Windows. It requires macOS 15.0 or later, or Windows 10 version 22H2 or later, or Windows 11. Windows installers are available for both x64 and ARM64. ## Unlimited capability

Anything you do in a browser, Aside can do for you. Unlike agents that rely on integrations, Aside uses websites and accounts directly. It signs in and works across your email, dashboards, and internal tools; handles comments, replies, and follow-ups; and works with documents and spreadsheets on your computer.

## Password Manager

Aside lets agents sign in through autofill without exposing your credentials to the AI. Credentials are autofilled into websites, not exposed to the agent. Sensitive actions like payments, posts, and messages wait for your confirmation. Every credential use is logged so you know what the agent touched.

Your data is fully encrypted on your device. Key protection uses Secure Enclave on Mac or the TPM on Windows when available, with a software-backed fallback.

## Privacy and control

Aside runs on your device, keeps data protected, and gates sensitive actions for your review. It isolates filesystem and network access with sandbox guardrails. You can use your ChatGPT or Claude subscription, or bring your own API key.

Post-quantum installation-key protection is available for new installations on supported Macs with Secure Enclave running macOS 26 or later; it is not a guarantee for Windows or every installation.
